Meet Convowell: AI drafts for WhatsApp, you press Send
Most small teams answer customers on WhatsApp all day: the same questions about prices, delivery and opening hours, a complaint here, a new enquiry there. Convowell is built for that inbox. It reads your conversations, writes a reply in your voice, and waits. Nothing leaves your account until a person on your team reads the draft and presses Send.
One inbox for your WhatsApp numbers
You link a number the way you link WhatsApp Web: open WhatsApp on your phone, go to Linked devices and scan the QR code that Convowell shows. New messages appear in the inbox as they arrive, and you can link more than one number to a workspace.
A workspace is one business or brand, with its own numbers, contacts, assistant and settings. If you run two businesses, give each its own workspace, so their contacts and conversations never mix.
Drafts in your voice
Every workspace has an assistant that you describe once:
- its personality: friendly or formal, short or detailed, which languages it uses;
- its rules: what it must never promise, and when it should hand over to a person;
- its knowledge: your products, prices, delivery terms and answers to common questions.
When a message comes in, the assistant drafts a reply that follows those documents. You can edit the draft, ask for a new one, or write your own answer. You do not have to type all of this from scratch either: the quick start lets you pick your kind of business and the assistant's roles (sales, support, bookings and more) by clicking, and then fills in a first version of every document. Everything stays editable.
Your own AI key
Drafts are written by an AI model that you connect with your own API key: OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, OpenRouter or any service that speaks the OpenAI API. You pay your provider directly, at their prices. Your key is stored encrypted and is never shown again in the app.
You approve every message
This is the one rule that never changes: the AI writes drafts, and only a person sends. There is no setting that lets the assistant reply on its own. We explain why in Why nothing is ever sent automatically.
Contacts and follow-ups
Beyond the inbox, Convowell keeps a simple CRM: import your contacts, move them through your pipeline stages, tag them and plan follow-ups. When someone asks not to be contacted again, that choice is respected.
