Why nothing is ever sent automatically

People often ask us for an "autopilot": let the assistant answer by itself, at least for the easy questions. Convowell does not do that, on purpose. The assistant writes drafts, and a person on your team sends every message. Here is why.

A WhatsApp message is personal

Your customers write to you on the same app they use for family and friends. A reply that is wrong, too pushy or simply odd lands right next to those conversations, and it is sent in your name. Once it is delivered, you cannot take it back.

AI models can be confidently wrong

A good model writes fluent, friendly text. That is exactly what makes its mistakes easy to miss: a price that changed last week, a delivery date nobody confirmed, a discount you never offered. The assistant follows the rules and knowledge you give it, but only a person knows what happened in the shop this morning.

That is why the rules the quick start writes for you tell the assistant never to confirm stock, prices, delivery dates or discounts that are not in your knowledge documents, and why the final check is always yours.

You stay in your own voice

Reading a draft takes seconds. In those seconds you catch the reply that should have been warmer, the question that deserves a phone call instead, or the regular customer who needs a personal note. Over time you also see where your assistant's documents need a better answer, and you improve them.

Saying no is respected

When someone asks not to be contacted, that choice wins. Drafts never pressure people who said no, and messages you start yourself, such as follow-ups, are drafts you approve too.

What this means in practice

  • New messages arrive in your inbox, and the assistant writes a draft reply for you.
  • You read, edit and send. Or you discard the draft and write your own.
  • Nothing is queued to go out behind your back: there is no auto-send switch to forget.

We think this is the right balance: the assistant does the typing, you keep the judgement. If you want to see how it works with your own business, read Meet Convowell or contact us.
